There are 4 main musculoskeletal components involved in creating pain or discomfort in your neck.

  1. The C1/C2 vertebra (the axis/atlas) has lost its rotation in one direction.
  2. The thoracic vertebra are having difficulty extending, flexing or rotating.
  3. The glenohumeral joint (ball and socket shoulder joint) has misaligned or lost range of motion.
  4. The scapulae (shoulder blade) has lost rotation.
